Blackpdf provides online tools to convert, compress, and modify PDF and other document formats. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. File Handling & Processing

Blackpdf prioritizes privacy and security in how it handles files:

• Browser-Based Processing: Most conversions happen directly within your browser; files are not uploaded to our servers.
• Server-Side Processing: For resource-intensive operations, files may be securely transferred to our servers, encrypted using 256-bit TLS encryption, and automatically deleted after processing.

3. Free and Paid Tiers

Blackpdf offers both free and premium options:

• Free Tier: May include ads and limited usage. Ads are served through Google Ads or partners to help support our operations and infrastructure.
• Premium Features: Paid or subscription-based features may be offered for enhanced functionality and ad-free usage.

By subscribing to any paid plan, you agree to pay applicable fees and abide by the plan’s terms.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services to enhance performance and reliability, including:

• CDNs (e.g., cdnjs) to deliver scripts and libraries
• External APIs to enable in-browser or server-side functionality
• Analytics and advertising tools like Google Analytics and Google Ads

These providers do not have access to your files or content and are used solely to deliver core functionality.

5. Intellectual Property

All design, software, and content available on Blackpdf are the property of Blackpdf or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You retain ownership of your own files. By using the Service, you grant Blackpdf a limited, temporary license to process your files solely for the purpose of performing the requested operation.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of Blackpdf is also governed by our Privacy Policy. That document explains how we handle your files, analytics, cookies, and advertising data.

By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree to our data practices as described in that policy.

7. Availability & Maintenance

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Access may be temporarily limited for maintenance, upgrades, or other technical reasons.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Blackpdf makes no warranties, express or implied, about accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

• The Service may not always be secure, timely, or error-free.
• Processed files may not retain full formatting or compatibility across platforms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blackpdf and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• Use or inability to use the Service
• Data loss, corruption, or system errors
• Interruptions caused by third-party providers

Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount (if any) you paid to use the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content of files you upload or process. You must ensure you have legal rights to use and share those files.

Blackpdf is not responsible for lost, corrupted, or improperly formatted files.

11. Data Retention & Deletion

All files processed on our servers are automatically deleted after processing completes. Temporary or anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months to help improve our Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform. You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination will not affect any rights or obligations accrued prior to termination.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be handled exclusively in the courts of New Delhi, India.
