Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Blackpdf ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our Service. By continuing to use Blackpdf, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to remember things between visits — like that you're signed in, or which tool you used last. We also use related browser storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) for the same kinds of purposes.
2. Cookies We Use
We group the cookies we set into three categories. None of them access or store the content of your files.
Essential
Required for the Service to work — sign-in, security, and abuse prevention. These cannot be disabled because the Service cannot operate without them.
- Authentication and session
- CSRF protection
- Anonymous device identifier (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
- Human-verification cookie set after a successful Cloudflare Turnstile check, so you don't have to re-verify on every request
Analytics
Help us understand which features get used so we can improve the Service. Aggregated and de-identified — never tied to your file content.
- Google Analytics
Advertising (Free tier only)
Used to deliver and measure ads on the Free tier. Pro and Business subscribers do not see ads at all.
- Google Ads — personalized or non-personalized depending on your consent.
3. Your Choices
Analytics and Advertising cookies are on by default. You can switch either off at any time:
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Disabling Essential cookies will break sign-in and core features. Opting out of Advertising still shows non-personalized ads on the Free tier — it doesn't remove ads.
Your consent choice is itself stored in a cookie and persists for one year.
4. Updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or how the Service works. The current version always lives on this page.
